Career Thief: Nalu was a successful thief and con-artist not too long ago, stealing from merchants and nobles alike with her excellent use of disguises and lies. However, this does not mean that she couldn't have botched a few missions. She may have stolen something from you and you may want it back.Stint In La Noscea: Nalu spent quite some time in La Noscea with a group of adventurers. However, this was just a long-con and she eventually disappeared with all their Gil. You may be part of this adventuring group and recognize Nalu.Fixer: Nalu currently runs a mercenary guild and actively assigns both legitimate and illegal jobs to people. If you are a mercenary or deeply rooted in the criminal network, you may know of her little guild in the sewers of the Goblet, and you may have even accepted a job or two from her in the past. The Hummingbird: Nalu is the proprietor of The Hummingbird, an underground gambling ring and bar for VIP individuals of the criminal underworld. If you are well-known in the criminal underworld, you may know of the establishment and may be on the list of VIP patrons.Enigmatic Mask: Nalu sometimes wears a creepy mask in public and wanders the side streets of Ul'dah during the night. She gives off an ominous vibe, but those who are curious or brave enough may want to inquire about her choice of attire or why she is constantly wandering the alleys at night.Wanted: Nalu is a fugitive and wanted for grand larceny, fraud, arson and prison break. Though she has laid low for quite some time, some old wanted posters can still be found lying around. Bounty hunters and the law might recognize her, but she constantly changes her appearance via wigs, makeup, disguises, and glamour prisms.

The Story So Far...
A Miqo’te raised on the streets of Ul'dah, Nalu wandered around the city stealing food, Gil and valuables to survive. She learned how to fend for herself at an early age by lying and manipulating others for her own gain, eventually coming to love conning people.

Nalu grew up to become an opportunistic, selfish, lying thief and con artist that would do anything for easy Gil. So after hearing word of a slave ring in La Noscea, Nalu set off to join their ranks.Setting out for La Noscea, Nalu began searching for the slave ring and soon heard tell of a band of adventurers led by Njhali Velora Laxan that sought to rid La Noscea of the slavers. Nalu decided to lie her way into this group by saying she was a wandering adventurer looking to stop the slave trade. In reality, though, Nalu planned to use the adventurers to find the slave ring and betray them. However, Nalu eventually realized that sticking with the adventurers paid very well. Because of this, Nalu threw out her original plan and stuck with the band of adventurers for a few months, becoming very well-liked among the group.

However, Nalu inevitably grew bored. One day, after intercepting another slave caravan, Nalu came across a young slave without a name. Nalu gave her the name of Mumei Hozumi and pretended to have studied combat near Mumei’s homeland. She took Mumei as her student even when she knew absolutely nothing about Mumei’s homeland or the way of the samurai. But Nalu was an excellent con artist, somehow managing to train Mumei in the ways of the samurai and loved how Mumei fawned over her mountain of lies. After several more months of playing as Mumei's mentor, Nalu soon grew bored of Mumei. She eventually decided to head back to Ul’dah and find a new gig to entertain herself, but first, she stole almost all the Gil from her former adventurer comrades before disappearing without a trace.

Nalu quickly returned to Ul'dah and founded a small mercenary's guild in the sewers of the Goblet. It is here where she tried her hand at being a fixer, finding new interest in doling out dangerous jobs to others and getting a cut whilst doing practically nothing. After spending several months as a fixer, Nalu's devious ways finally caught up to her. While walking around the Sapphire Avenue Exchange, she was apprehended by a bounty hunter and given to the Brass Blades. She was promptly thrown into a private prison where the inmates were forced to fight in an arena until they were too injured to continue. Nalu managed to fend for herself for a few days but soon lost to fatigue. After falling in the arena, Nalu was sent to an affiliate internment camp and left to die. Tossed into a tent filled with rotting bodies, Nalu stayed there for several days until she was saved by one of her trusted henchmen and her new favourite mercenary, Pancuga Kestal and Vaeri Shuzaal. However, her stint in prison left its mark both mentally and physically. It took a while for her to get back on her feet, but when she did, a part of her seemed to be stuck in prison. Suffering from lingering pains and occasional panic attacks, Nalu began partaking in various questionable herbs, opioids, tonics, and remedies in order to lessen the burden. For months, Nalu laid low and became reliant on these substances, managing to regain some of her former physical and mental strength in the process until her Gil ran dry.Fortunately for Nalu, she had an unyielding desire for Gil that even questionable substances couldn't erase. Founding the Vantablack Free Company, Nalu set out to make the most notorious speakeasy in all of Eorzea, The Hummingbird. Dabbling in banned dice games and under-the-table dealings, The Hummingbird establishment put on heirs of sophistication but was, in truth, a haven for criminals and less-than-good people. However, her dream was lofty, and her pockets were empty. So, to further fund her venture, she began working as a herb dealer at the Ruin and Revelry.

Out of Character
Hey everyone, Nalu's creator here. I'd first like to thank everyone who took the time to read about my character. I'm an aspiring writer and fairly new to RP, but have played FF14 on and off since 2.0. I'm still learning and practicing to make my writing and character development better for the game and my WIP novel.I'd also like to say that I am a 21+ casual roleplayer. Lore is not my strong suit, so if something doesn't make sense, let me know so I can fix it! I generally try to keep my characters grounded and away from MSQ, so hopefully, there aren't any lore-breaking/spoiler situations. Finally, I'm not my character. Please don't mix OOC with IC. Having said that, I'm a super chill guy and am more than willing to chat OOC, hang out or do other content other than RPing.
